Wammes - Gerard Van Den Berg - Montis

Great vintage set of ‘Wammes’ monumental swivel easy chairs in their original cognac leather.
Designed by the Dutch designer Gerard van den Berg for Montis.

This monumental chair features a sculptural profile with a wide, curved seat and tall rectangular back clad in stitched patchwork leather. 
The chairs have a thick but soft distressed cognac neck leather that acquired a stunning and characterful patina over the years in use.
Gerard van den Berg is known for his use of robust natural materials like leather and wicker in his designs and always used top quality leather that would last a lifetime.

Condition :
Very good vintage condition. The leather shows a patina that matches the age and wear of the sofa.
First owner (1978).
