Stunning Pianura seating group. A wooden structure with high comfort cushions in their original fabric. The color is anthracite with a dark blue patina. Matching set from its first owner.
Designed by Mario Bellini for Cassina in the 1970s.

Mario Bellini (1935-) is trained as an architect and became one of the leading designers in postwar Italian style. At the beginning of his career, he worked with Olivetti, Cassina, and B&B Italia, which resulted in an early knowledge of synthetic resins and polyurethanes. His furniture is exciting, both in its use of the material and the originality of his designs.

Condition:
The walnut has signs of use that matches the age and wear. Not refurbished.
The original anthracite fabric has a nice dark blue patina. Still very good foam.
