LC4 ‘early edition’ - Le Corbusier, Jeanneret & Perriand - Cassina

Wonderful, original & vintage chaise longue.
Model LC4 with a low serial number.
Designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand for Cassina in 1965.

The Chaise Longue was born from the inspiration of the three design artists who wanted to design a comfortable home furniture, where every person could rest, even without sleeping, relaxing the head, shoulders, back and legs.
Initially designed in 1928, the chaise longue Le Corbusier was then mass produced in the mid-60s, will become over the years a true design icon.
The structure of the amazing chaise longue is chrome-plated tubular steel, black lacquered metal frame, the headrest and mattress are upholstered and the upholstery is brown pony skin with shades.

Condition : the pony skin is still original and has an intense used look. Frame & base are perfect. Some rubbers have a tear but this has no effect on the comfort of the chair.
